The NHS provides a clinically necessary and cost effective service to help

maintain oral health; this means that treatment is only provided where it

is needed. This means that NHS fillings and crowns on back teeth will be

metallic, and that an NHS scale will remove calculus deposits but not any

 dietary or lifestyle stains.

If you would prefer a more cosmetic type of restoration there are many

options available privately- your dentist will be happy to discuss these

with you.

NHS  treatment is split into three bands and charged according to that band.

Band 1 - £21.60- includes exam, x-rays when required and simple scaling if necessary

Band 2 - £59.10- includes all band 1 plus fillings, extractions, root canal work and deep scaling

Band 3 - £256.50- includes all band 1 & 2 plus treatments with a laboratory component such as crowns or dentures
